1) Destroying enemies of equal or greater skill is the only way to gain Crom’s attention, let alone his favor. Destroying those of lesser ability will never attract Crom’s sight and doing so without provocation is cowardly and vile.
2) Magic is no different from any other weapon until it is used improperly. When magic is used in a cowardly way, to destroy or to extend one’s control over those weaker than the user, then the user gains Crom’s attention, but earns only his ire.
3) Hecata is a powerful foe, and she uses her magic improperly. She must be met in combat and destroyed to show the world that the divine strength of Crom is greater than her magic and to rid the world of her impropriety.
